Micah is an award winning songwriter, helping artist from Canada, the US, and Australia compose music ranging from Pop, Folk, Country, Alternative, Blues, Bluegrass, Soul and others. He has a degree in English from Texas State University and a minor in Philosophy and Business. Micah’s true passion is songwriting, and he loves helping the artist gather the tools they need for clear expression. All of Micah’s students take lessons in his professional studio Mister Studios, and eventually combine professional, high end production with lessons! He has found over the years this is a huge benefit to the students progression, enjoyment, and motivation. In our world of immediate gratification, Micah has found a way to support students by giving them goals and actual creations to share with both their family and the world. Eventually, their own songs will be ready for full production, and built into the lesson.

Micah is a producer and engineer, navigating multiple DAW’s ranging from Logic, Ableton, Pro-Tools, Garage band and others. For artist looking to create their own music, Micah is the guy. He Has built 3 studios, and currently works out of his professional studio Mister Studios, in Austin, TX. Micah helps artists looking to learn the basics all the way to high end production, mixing and mastering. His dream has always been to build the independence each artist needs to survive and thrive in todays musical climate. From setting up a room, tracking live instruments and vocals, working with MIDI, plugins and gear, Micah loves being a mentor and guide along this process.
As with all of the other lessons, everything is done in his professional studio, Mister Studios in Austin, TX, although Micah will make house calls to support the artists setup and creativity.

All lessons may be taken virtually! Most weekly lessons include a personal video discussing what was learned during the session, and what should be practiced in the coming week.
Micah’s work as a music teacher ranges from beginner to advanced, and for students of all ages. Micah specializes in multiple techniques, helping the student identify their strength, playing style preference, and gaps, then create a program based on the students’ needs and learning style to help them achieve their goal.
All of Micah’s lessons are held in his professional studio, Mister Recording Studios, in Austin, TX, or offered virtually through Zoom and create goal-based programs for each student and eventually assist in recording and building actual products for personal pleasure, or public release.
